Senecio atratus

Robust plant growing in alpine and subalpine meadows in Colorado. Silvery fuzzy linear leaves are topped with masses of small, bright yellow daisy flowers in summer. Plants form vigorous clumps about two feet tall and wide. Full sun and good drainage a must. Based on their native range, should be very tolerant of cold, probably to zone 4, though perfect drainage will no doubt be required for maximal winter hardiness.
